I have always been passionate about art and kids. The artwork that I create has a lot to do with nature. My creative process includes painting landscapes and close up drawings of nature. My artwork is inspired by my interest in nature and the different things God has created. Through my artwork I want to instill happiness in the viewer.

Looking back, what advice would you give yourself?

It would be to savor every moment because it passes too quickly.

What's your favorite A+D memory?

One of my favorite memories is from Foundations where we did a catwalk of everyone's wearable sculptures.

What was your favorite A+D class?

My favorite A+D class was printmaking. It was my favorite class because I was able to explore different methods of printing through different projects. I also very much enjoy the professor that I had, along with all of my classmates.

What moment, project, and/or critique in your Art + Design career at AU has been pivotal to who you are as an artist or creator?

When starting painting at Anderson, the first project we did has been pivotal to myself as an artist. I remember being nervous about this class but was amazed with what I was able to create during this studio.

What's next for you?

After graduation I hope to get a job as an elementary art teacher. All of my life I have been passionate about art and kids and this gives me a chance to do something that includes both.

How do you hope your work makes an impact?

I hope my work makes an impact by bringing a moment of happiness to the viewer.

Give us a preview of what you're working on for the Senior Show!

My Senior Show will be a mixture of different 2D works, including both paintings, and drawings. During my studios I have created a variety of works. The artwork I am the most excited about showing are my abstract close up drawings of nature. These drawings were really fun to create and I can't wait to display them.
